The new-generation Multimilla+ rollermill, developed by İmaÅŸ and launched at the IDMA Istanbul 2026 Exhibition, stands out for its high-vibration-damping mineral cast chassis, direct-drive feeding mechanism and optional active pressure control equipment. The key technical specifications and operational dynamics of the roller, designed by the company’s R&D team, are as follows:
The Multimilla+ is built on a mineral cast carrier chassis capable of damping vibration up to 20 times more effectively than traditional welded steel structures. This structure, with its high mass damping capacity, aims to enhance the machine’s dynamic operational stability, thereby extending the service life of mechanical components and maintaining the stability of the grinding gap (roll clearance).
In accordance with food safety standards, stainless steel has been used for all internal surfaces that come into direct contact with the product. The rounded radii applied to the internal geometry and the minimisation of dead spaces prevent dust accumulation, thereby facilitating hygienic cleaning processes.
The machine’s feeding section is equipped with infrared level sensors to ensure the precision and continuity of product flow. The rotation of the feed roller is monitored in real time by integrated rotation sensors. Supplied as direct-drive units in the standard configuration, the feed rollers are designed to eliminate belt-and-pulley transmission losses, thereby increasing both productivity and energy efficiency whilst reducing maintenance requirements.
The new-generation torque motors, available as an option in the grinding mechanism, offer higher electrical efficiency compared to traditional induction motors. Another technical component offered as an option to enhance grinding precision is the i-GPC® Active Grinding Pressure Control System. This system continuously monitors the grinding pressure between the cylinders and automatically adjusts it using closed-loop control logic, thereby eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring sustainable process stability.
Designed to minimise mechanical maintenance and downtime, the Multimilla+ features a fully opening front cover design. The sliding feed unit, which can be pulled out in one piece, and the grinding roller replacement mechanism—which can be removed and refitted in as little as 15 minutes—accelerate servicing processes.
The SmartLub® centralised lubrication system, available as an option within the automation infrastructure, ensures the automatic lubrication of the roller bearings whilst enabling all rollers within the plant to be managed via a single centralised platform.
